- Abstract
- Spatial organization is both the most important challenge and a resource for the development of the Russian economy. The question arises as to which spatial organization strategy is most effective for the country and to what extent it is reflected in the adopted strategic documents. In modern history, the Russian economy has grown mainly due to capital agglomerations, to which in recent years the factor of investments in the development of new subjects of the Russian Federation has been added. The article analyzes the conditions under which a turn of the country’s spatial policy to the East, to the advanced development of Siberia, is possible, and how it can affect the pace and quality of the country’s development.
